QLD Basketball Masters Cancelled
Basketball Queensland regrets to inform that the Queensland Basketball Masters Games for 2020 have been cancelled and registered participants have been notified.
As well as the Queensland borders not being open to Victorians, Basketball Queensland had no confidence that the borders would be open to participants from New South Wales to travel to Queensland. for the event.
WORLD MASTERS GAMES 2021 KANSAI, JAPAN HAVE BEEN POSTPONED
The IMGA World Masters Games Kansai 2021 that were due to be held in May 2021 are being postponed due to the global pandemic Covid-19.
The Organising Committee's Board Meeting held on October 28, 2020 reached the conclusion of postponement of the World Masters Games to the time they believe it would be practical to hold the Games.

PAN PACIFIC MASTERS GAMES, Gold Coast, November 2021.
Pan Pacs have started the work already with their government and strategic partners, sports, sponsors and stakeholders to evaluate a November 2021 edition of the Masters Games. They hope to confirm the status of this plan in the next few months.
AUSTRALIAN MASTERS GAMES OCTOBER 2021, PERTH
It is likely the next master’s tournament Australian Myths and Legends can attend will be the 2021 Australian Masters Games which will be held in Perth in October next year.
TRAINING UPDATE – BASKETBALL VICTORIA
Unfortunately, due to basketball being classified as a “contact sport” (i.e. a sport that is unable to be played at a social distancing length of 1.5m between each participant) by the Victorian Government, basketballis subject to beingpart of the Last Step of the COVID Roadmap.
At this stage inside training is listed under current restrictions issued by Victorian government until further notice.

UPDATE, Victorian Government Easing of Restrictions-COVID-19

Dear Members
As you may be aware the Victorian Government has announced the Easing of Restrictions from Midnight 12 May 2020.
As a result, Myths & Legends Training will remain suspended as the Victorian Government's guidelines does not allow Basketball Training to occur at this stage.
Training – suspension still stands
Suspension of all training sessions at (Veneto club Bulleen, Friday and Sunday, Royal Talbot Kew Tuesdays) still stands.
Myths and Legends July Tournament
It is extremely unlikely that the July 2020 Tournament will proceed.

The Myths and Legends committee met and has decided in the interest of both members, families and general community the suspension of all training sessions at (Veneto club Bulleen, Friday and Sunday, Royal Talbot Kew Tuesdays) occurs immediately to be reviewed in three week’s time. This decision falls in line with Basketball Victoria and Federal Government intent.
Myths and Legends July Tournament
This is still planned to proceed but is dependent on how events relating to COVID-19 roll out.
