Bennetts, Robbo

Robbo first touched a basketball at the age of 37 while studying PE degree. He played open age A grade until the age of 63

Broughton, Lindsay

Basketball adoptee. Attended World Masters in Brisbane 1994 and Denmark 1989. Attended USA Masters 1993 and 1994. World Championships – Brazil 1981. Olympics 1976 and 1980.

Farr, Ian

Committee Member. Victorian State representative 1970. Has been very lucky in his basketball career. Life member.

Gibson, Jack

Joint Committee President. Has played more Masters games than any living person. Has not missed a season of basketball since 1955. A great asset to the Myths and Legends. Had the longest shorts in the club. Life member.

Hanratty, Mandy

A ferocious rebounder and the second best dancer in the Club. “Winning a gold medal at the Sydney World Masters and a trip to Guam have been my highlights as well as making new friends”.

Hennin, Bryan

Committee member. Australian World Championship Representative. Represented South Australia and Tasmania. Very fit, great competitor. Life member.

Jones, Frank

Victorian State representative. Alan Hughes medallist pound for pound the best basketballer for his age in the world. Great contributor to junior basketball. Life member.

La Fontaine, Debbie

Original member of the 1st Myths & Legends women team which competed at the World Masters 2002. Won Silver medal. Won Gold in Sydney Worlds and Torino and Bronze in Auckland. Has played in the Pan Pacs and Australian Master since 2005.

Papanicolaou, Carey

Started with Myths and Legends 1995, Trevor Davies introduced me to the club. I played juniors with St Kilda Saints and played VBA Div 1 for Altona. Currently coaching in the Big V competition. Very smart guard with a brilliant three point shot. Committee member.

Roberts, Don

Committee Member. Past President of Bulleen Basketball Association. Dual World Masters games gold medallist. Outstanding singer and worker. A beautiful singer.  Life member.

Slusher, Mike

American College star. Very Good centre played in Masters. One of the main reasons for Myths and Legends early success.

Watson, Gordon

Former St Kilda Basketball club player. A very good big man in his time, with a deadly hook shot. Has lived a fascinating life.

Zhang, David

He was captain of the Chinese National Men’s team. Chinese National Women’s coach.
